Mazars offers suitably qualified individuals the opportunity to provide administrative assistance to the tax compliance department with regards to tax compliance and the servicing of registered e-filing clients. Candidate should be energetic and willing to learn in this fast paced industry. Candidate should be able to meet deadlines effectively.

Duties and Responsibilities

General administrative assistance to the tax compliance department. This includes the following:

  • Updating of registered data on SARS e-filing
  • Banking details
  • Public officers details
  • Name changesAttending to year end changes, as advised by the Secretarial Department
  • Attending to client correspondence
  • Provisional tax letters
  • Assessment letters
  • Scanning and uploading of AFS and Tax computations to SARS via SARS e-filing
  • Be available as back up for SARS Liaison Officer – Collections at SARS
  • Submission of tax returns
  • Individuals, trusts and late estates – IT12 & 1T12T;
  • Corporate - IT14, IT14SD and supporting documentation, IRP6 returns (1st, 2nd and 3rd), VAT201’s, DTR01 and DTR02, WT002 (monthly, bi annual and annual) returns and reconciliations.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12
  • At least 2 years’ experience within a similar role
  • Excellent computer skills (MS Word, Excel)
  • Accfin experience would be advantageous
  • Be proactive
  • Excellent planning and organising skills
  • Quality and detail orientated
